Gamer Side of My Life - Fran Helsing! x

Hi Everyone,

Sorry for the delay, again been mega busy. Today my blog post is going to be about my interest in gaming. I am going to say now, yes I am a female gamer to some degree; I love games and playing them but I don't have a game console yet. When I mean yet, I am in the process of saving up for one. I have saved up enough for the console but not the monitor or TV screen to play it on yet.

So I guess this blog is more or less going to be about why I like gaming and what I would do when get a console.

Nintendo Entertainment System with controllerFirstly, I have enjoyed gaming from a young age, well from about 8 when my parents separated and my dad gave me his Nintendo Entertainment System (seen to the right). I enjoyed it a lot. I remember one game about a girl and you had to get her to collect the coins and if she dropped she landed in the sea and you could do sea level. I don't remember what the game was called, so if anyone reading this remembers or has any idea what I am saying, then please write in the comment bit below.

I then didn't have a console for a while till I was about 9-10. I saved up my own money and my dad paid for some of it towards a Nintendo Gameboy Colour in the colour Purple in which I got the game Pokémon sliver because I loved Pokémon as a kid I also had the monster's INC game too. Kinda shows how long ago this was really (and my age). Round my dad's house had a PlayStation 1 which I just played normal games like one game where you had lots of challenges like flipping burgers and pump up things and click pens, it was a really weird game. Again I cant remember the name (sorry).

My dad later got an Play Station 2 which was really cool, and I had games like Scobby Doo and the Mystery Mayhem which was a okay game enough though the graphics where rubbish compared to nowadays but good for those days I guess. Also at this point, I got given a free PlayStation 1 from a friend of the family. It had a lot of amazing games with it such as Jackie Chan Stuntmaster and Spiderman. Stuntmaster I didn't manage to complete. however, Spiderman game was the first game I completed which was amazing.

By the age of 12/13 the PlayStation 1, I was given broke and after another few months so did my dad's PlayStation 2. Which wasn't great. From then on, the only time I would play video games would be round friend's houses but it wasn't in an enjoyable sense to me. I felt like because I was a girl and didn't have a console I was at a disadvantage to my friends. But I enjoyed games we played like guitar Hero and Rock Band, I also realised I'm crap at Halo! haha.

About a year after thinking about that I decided I wanted to save up for on, but didn't have a job as was only 16. My first job I got was at about 17/18 but my money went to towards night outs and food for college. It has only been over the last 3-4 months I have had enough money to put aside for my console. I am stuck between, the PlayStation 3 or 4 OR the x-box 360 (not the x-box one). I am more likely to go towards the x-box 360 as prefer the console to the PlayStation for some reason.

My plans for once I do get a console would be to do some game reviews as well as my make up and other bits and bobs. I'll try and give reviews of different games and to different audiences. My taste in games are games like assassin's creed, Call of Duty, Lego games, Batman Arkham (from when I've played at friend's houses).

So yeah, I hope you liked my Blog for today, I am going to try and do some of my normal stuff with in the up and coming week :)

Thanks!

Make up in my make up bag: June 2013

Hi everyone,

Today I am going to talk to you about what is in my make up bag. I got my make up Bag is by Ted Baker I got it from Boots the drugstore in the UK. I want to make a disclaimer here, all the stuff in this bag I got with my own money or as gifts from family or friends so yeah i'm not here to brag just here to review and hopefully you guys would like some of the products in my make up bag or have them. If so please write a comment below saying your thoughts about the product. Anyway, lets get started.

Face Products:

1. Fix and Perfect pro Primer - 002 - Rimmel London.
I thought this is a good primer, even though I don't really wear primer that much anyway. I put this on to make sure my make up stays on areas where I want make up to stay on. However, don't really notice a massive difference if my make up stays on or not but it does seem to last a while longer. I guess as I haven't used much primer before so I guess I can really compare it.

2. Hide The Blemish Concealer Stick - 001 Ivory - Rimmel London.
This was the first Concealer I ever got when I was like 14 (the one in my makeup bag is not the same one! haha), then I stopped using it for a while then rediscovered it and love it. the reason why i love it, is because it does really well to cover up my red cheeks and I carry this with me everywhere and can't not live with out it. Only down side is that it is that it is quite thick but it's not too bad.

3. The True Match foundation - Golden Ivory D1- W1 - L'oreal Paris.
My friend Izzy recommend this too me. it's really good at giving an all over cover on my cheeks and forehead area, I use this foundation every day. I put this on with a superdrug brush and buff it in with the eco tools buffing brush - I buff to the outer points of my face so it matches my neck line.

4. Illuminating Touch Brightening Concealer - Natural 2 - Collection.
I use this for under eyes and on any redness and spots which is bad and needs extra cover. It is good as it covers all of it and I will get it again.I sometimes just put this Concealers on and some powder and that's it.

5. Studio Fix Powder -  in NC20 - MAC.
I put this on ever on it's own or over everything else. It is a good product and would get it again when hits pan and is gone. It is a good value for money in some ways as got it last year still going strong.

Eye Products:

1. Eyeshadow Pallette - Undressed - MUA.
I love this palette, think it is a good cheap version of the Urban decay palette which would love to own one day but being a student MUA version would do :) I love the colours as said in other blogs so don't think you guys would want me to go over it again. it is also good if starting out a make up collection.

2. SuperCat Eyeliner - Black - Soap and Glory.
This is good at creating differ looks but not under eye or waterline really, I use the black from MUA pallette to do that. I love this eyeliner as it doesn't make a mess which is great been looking for an eyeliner like it for ages.

3. Eyebrow Pencil - Dark Brown - Rimmel London.
Love this colour on my brows and stays on all day. I think this is also good value for money as well.

4. Teeasters.
My mum got this for me from her holiday in Jersey. It think this is good at shaping brows and yeah the only one I use anyway and I keep in my bag at all time so that if I see a hair that annoys me I can get it.

5. The Falsies Volum' Express (Waterproof) Mascara - Black - Maybelline.
I can not say how much I love this mascara, on my second one now. I think Mallbelline is my favourite brand for mascara as they are cheap and make my lashes look great. This mascara is good at making eyelashes look fuller.

Lip Products:

1. Lip Smacker - Sprite.
I put this on first before putting on lip stick or just on it's own to keep my lips conditioned through out the day and not dry.

I think that is everything as it is summer so I don't have lots of lip products in there at the moment. I hope you have enjoyed my blog today. If you could comment and share this Blog that would be great :)

Thanks,

Fran Helsing x
